Back from a week in the Cairngorms to photograph the autumn colour. Initially it looked like autumn was going to give the Cairngorms a miss, but within 2 days everything exploded into colour.
The week was a bit of a slog at times, long walks into the hills – lots of wading through waist deep heather and boot sucking bogs – but it was really great to be in the hills again.
OK, doing the nightly Tick check to ensure none of those horrible things had come back with you for their dinner wasn’t a highlight; I hate Ticks !
At least when I go to Iceland in a few weeks time, there will be no Ticks there!
