With autumn just around the corner, I thought I would spend a few days in the Lake District and locate some locations ready for autumn; but the weather did its best to stop me!
I was hoping for some nice unsettled weather – the sort us landscape photographers like – but it rained and rained and rained. I know the Lake District has to keep refilling all the lakes somehow, but it would have been nice not to have 4 days of constant rain!
In the end, there was one good day – the odd heavy shower with moments of light breaking though – so I explored Glen Mary, Holme Fell, and Hodge Close Quarry.
As always being out with the camera lifts the spirits and as they say, it never hurts to practice (and I need a lot of practice!)
